Rolex Mentor and Protege Arts Initiative
Rolex organized a two-year cycle, the program matches five world-renowned masters at the peak of their powers with five rising new-comers just beginning to make what knowledgeable observers hope will be an important mark. Throughout that time the Rolex executive worked with their in-house designers in Geneva to create and art direct the visuals and scenes of the artists and mentors that would be turned into giant photo collages for their inaugural event staged in the NY State Theater at Lincoln Center. Not getting the desired effect, Rolex contacted Designscape to support them in successfully creating the visuals and completing their project within a six week time frame.
Mission: Don Warshaw, Creative Director- Utilizing Rolex supplied copyright photographic images of the honored artists and mentors created different 17 foot tall by 175 foot long photo- montages which were printed and hung two stories high on either side of the great hall in New York State Theater at Lincoln Center.
